Jessica Berlinski, chief information officer of Personalized Learning Games, 3C Institute’s commercialization partner, will be a Featured Speaker at SXSWedu. She will be an expert panelist for a Featured Session, which are selected from hundreds of submissions to highlight thought leaders and important issues in education.

Her session is titled “Effective SEL: From Classroom to Community” and will focus on Spark, a community-wide SEL initiative currently being implemented in Newtown, CT. The four components of Spark are:

  • in-person SEL training,
  • game-based assessment and personalized skill-building,
  • community and parent training, and

Educators and administrators who attend the session will learn how to effectively and efficiently enable classroom SEL instruction to reach the broader community.

Jessica is joined by Dr. Joseph Erardi, superintendent of the Newtown School District; Joan Duffell, executive director of Committee for Children/Second Step; and Dr. Jeremy Richman, CEO of The Avielle Foundation.
